A 9,000 square foot welding shop will be added, with an air-exchange system and 64 booths to accommodate pre-employment welding students, a contract training program and the 12 to 15 apprenticeship students who rotate through block training. It will be attached to the steel fabrication shop so there can be a sharing of learning between classes. Northeast Alabama Community College will take workforce development to the next level Friday when the Industrial Systems Technology Center is dedicated.
The dedication will take place at 11 a.m. at the new center on the west side of the Northeast campus along Highway 35 in Rainsville.
